#109 – Weather the Storm

Apr 15, 2019

On June 20, 1957, a violent tornado struck Fargo, North Dakota,
killing twelve people. Inspired by that fateful event, playwright
Tracy Frank explores how communities survive tragedy in her new
musical “Weather the Storm” (composed by Topher Williams). We
discuss Tracy’s inspiration to tell this story, what it takes to
build a musical, and how her own health struggles intertwine with
the themes of the play. Don’t forget to stay tuned to the end for a
musical sneak peek of this phenomenal new work!
